Banks Community Food Bank

The Banks Community Food Bank which was originally known as Sonrise Shelter is a mission of Banks Community United Methodist church. It has been in operation since the early 1980’s and as a local food bank has excelled in serving the needs of the community with food assistance. The area we cover with food assistance takes in the entire Banks Community School District, and is bordered by the Tillamook and Columbia county lines.

The Banks Community Food Bank is a partner agency with The Oregon Food Bank through which food is purchased at a nominal cost, and some we receive at no cost. Funding for food purchasing comes solely from individual contributions and we are especially grateful for those individuals who have contributed to the success of this operation all these many years.

If you are in need of food assistance please dial 211 for information. For local food assistance call Andy Haboush at 503-647-5511, or drop in during our hours of operation on Wednesdays, 9:00 AM-noon, and 2:00 PM-4:00 PM.

The Banks Community Food Bank is a 501c not for profit charitable organization, and as such, contributions are tax deductible. If you wish to make a monetary donation, please send it to Banks Community Food Bank, 42391 NW Depot St, Banks, OR 97106.  For donations of foods or other goods, call Andy Haboush at 503-647-5511 to arrange a time for drop-off.
